In the summer of 1968, between my junior and senior years at Mainland High, I had a summer job at NAFEC, working in "roads and grounds" in old Building 42. I remember the boss was named Chet Husta; "Starchy" Mayer was in charge of us kids; and there was an "older guy" named "AC" who was one of the best influences I ever had. He and Perry Yon had a lot of advice for a headstrong kid like me. My prayers are with you all.

To the Harmon family, Gail, I was so saddened to read of the lost of your Dad, it made me remember all the good times we shared as kids growing up in AC. Our parents were such good friends. I told my husband your mom always called me Duggie the nickname my mom called me. I thank God every day for our growing up years, we really had the best of times and the best of parents. I know you will miss your Dad as I miss mine but they gave us memories we will cherish until we meet again. Give love to your brothers and a big hug and kiss to your Mom. I Love You All God Bless

Dear Harmon Family, I can still see Mr. Harmon coming home from work everyday carrying his lunch pail, waving to us kids playing in the backyard at 101 W. Adams. He always had a smile for us. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate in remembering his life. Love to all, Pam
