Rev. Herman Alston, we all loved Margaret, but God loved her best. Always remember, earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal! I shall always remember Margaret and her beautiful smile. Our journey together began when we were all Mass Choir members at Aenon. We had a wonderful time then and now Margaret has joined The Heavenly Choir. Continue to be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
Love,
Phylliss D. Steele Aenon Missionary Baptist Church

My mother called me today and conveyed the passing of Mrs. Margaret Alston. I remember her splendor and beauty when I worshipped at a local Church in Rochester for which you were both members.
I am reminded of her class, elegance, and beautiful smile. Looking at her picture, it seems surreal that this is the beginning of her transition into Eternity.
Pastor Alston, I have regarded you greatly as a "real" clergyman, and it is to that end that I will pray for you and your family as you grieve the loss of your wife and mother to your children.
Remember, God is always here, waiting to hear and answer your call. Send up the timber, your healing is already done!
Blessings,
Gina Dobson M.Div, M.Ed

Margaret was a wonderfully caring woman. She was a dedicated Reach to Recovery volunteer for American Cancer Society. Through that work, she touched the lives of hundreds of women, hoping to make their journeys with breast cancer easier. Margaret was full of joy, laughter and love. I'll remember her fondly and feel very lucky to have known her. She will be missed by many.

Margaret's spirit in the face of a long and unrelenting illness was admirable and a role model for me. I will always cherish the fun and the laughs we shared over big things and small. The world has lost a beautiful woman, both inwardly and outwardly. I will be with you in thought and prayer celebrating her new life with God.
