Chili: October 1, 2010 after a courageous battle surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, W.I. Founding member and former officer of the Rochester West Indian Festival Organization, Founder of Rochester Jamaican Organization, and retired Certified Nursing Midwife of Anthony Jordan Health Center and Strong Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lewis' memory will be forever cherished by her husband of 54 years, Whitney; devoted son and daughters, Teron Anthony Lewis, Yvonne Lewis McDonald and Beverley Lewis Bernard; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; brothers, Samuel, Lloyd, and Clarence; sisters, Doris, Ivy, Joyce, Miriam, Madge, and Shirley; a host of other relatives and friends in the U.S., England and Jamaica. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park.
