Steven Mahar Sr. Passed away suddenly June 17th at the age of 51. He is survived by his partner and best friend Jennifer Coccia, their are two sons; Steven Jr. and Robert, loving parents Kenneth and Bernice. And many relatives and countless close friends. Steve was born in Rochester and grew up in West Brighton attending school in the Rush Henrietta school district with later studies at Monroe community college. He and Jenni spent a joyful, busy life enjoying the children’s many activities and achievements. Proud father to his boys, Steve became very involved in coaching youth sports, as he watched his sons excelled in football basketball and baseball. Steve was a very dedicated, hardworking, self-employed independent remodeling contractor and electrician for over 25 years. He took great pride in his creativity in building projects and his knowledge of all aspects of the business he built. Steve was always helping others. His kind heart, sense of humor, and infectious laugh will never be forgotten by the many lives he touched. A celebration of his life will be planned for a future date. Thank you for the outpouring love and support to our family as we navigate through this difficult time. We are truly grateful and appreciative.
