Obituary of Lloyd Fitzgerald Bean

Mr. Lloyd Fitzgerald Bean was born October 14, 1938 in Shelly Bay, Bermuda. He passed away in his home in Brighton, New York on January 8, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerard and Celeste Bean, and his sister, Elizabeth Miller.
He was the loving husband of Ursula Burns; father of Marjorie Bean Eggleston, Lloyd Bean II, Malcolm Bean and Melissa Bean; grandfather of Aja Monerjan and two great grandchildren. Cherished memories are also left with his brother, Dr. Gerard W. Bean and sister-in-law, Esther Bean; brother-in-law, Terrance (Tonya) Burns; sister-in-law, Deborah Eastman; six nieces and nephews and many other beloved family members and close friends.
Mr. Bean's life will be remembered and celebrated, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10AM at the Memorial AME Zion Church, 549 Clarissa St, Rochester, NY 14608. Rev. Lawrence Hargrave, officiating.
Noted for his compassion he was a scientist and engineer of Xerox Corporation and holder of over 40 patents. Mr. Bean was a lover of the Afro culture, engineering, science, Big East basketball, and the news. He was an excellent cook and was passionate about his children and grandchildren. He will be missed tremendously.
