Obituary of Travis Guess

Travis Llewellyn Guess was born on March 22, 1969 in Suffolk, Virginia to Jannie E. and the late Bennie Lee Guess, Sr. Travis moved with his family to Rochester, NY in August 1980, where he graduated from Josh Lofton High in 1987. Upon graduation, Travis joined the Marine Corp and after returning home in 1998, went to work for Eastman Kodak. At the time of his death, Travis owned his own business T&S Enterprise and he was also working for Catholic Family Center as a residential assistant. He received Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. In 1993 he joined Antioch Baptist Church where he regularly attended bible study. Having departed this life June 27, 2006, Travis leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Jannie (Willie B.) Rogers of Anderson, SC; sister, Tammro Williams of Suffolk, VA; brother, Bennie Lee Guess, Jr. of Suffolk, VA; daughters, Katturah, Shontrece, Destiny, Trinity, Anniayh Guess, and Anthony Wells, all of Rochester, NY; stepsisters, Wanda Richardson and Dana Wilson, of Suffolk, VA; grandmother, Eddie Mae Ervin of Suffolk, VA; aunts, Elizabeth Ervin Mason of Suffolk, VA, Barbara J. Shaw of Andrews, SC, and Michelle Ervin of Rochester, NY; a special great aunt, Dorothy Warnick (who he called "Aunt Bay"); uncles, Benjamin Ervin Jr. of Suffolk, VA, James and Joseph Guess of Suffolk, VA and Sgt. Michael Ervin of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Yasmeen and Vontrease Williams; a very special friend he met upon arriving in Rochester, Michael Moorehead; a host of cousins and other relatives. Interment, Falls Cemetery.
