Mr. James Joseph Johnson Jr., affectionately known as "Junior Johnson", was born in Americus, Georgia on September 19, 1933. His parents moved he and his sister to Rochester when he was 5 years old. Growing up he loved sports and played baseball and basketball. Junior joined the army in 1951. After receiving an honorable discharge he became a mason and worked construction. Through the years he was employed at ABC, Rochester Products, and retired from Alliance Plastics. Junior was better known for being a man about town with a great smile, laughter, and a generous fun loving spirit. He provided and shared whatever he had. Junior lived his life to the fullest. Predeceased by his father James Sr. and his sister, Laverne Barkley. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Johnson; wife, Deborah; children, Lonnie of CA, Jada and Danielle of OH, Raquel Johnson and Kim Usher of Rochester, Maxine, Della, and Jaime Noakes of MI, Arnette and Anson Jones of NC; stepchildren, Daphne and Fatso Spikes; 19 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends, including a dear friend, Carol "Audrey" Evans. Interment, Riverside Cemetery.
