Obituary of Johnnie Lindsey

Johnnie L. Lindsey was born July 27, 1939 in Graceville, Florida to Cloney Brown and L.T. Lindsey. Johnnie attended public schools in Rochester. In 1962, he began working for the City of Rochester where he remained until his retirement in 1994. Johnnie was also a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. W. Warfield. His hobbies were fishing, bowling, traveling, and his grandchildren. Johnnie Lindsey departed this life on October 24, 2006 at Park Ridge Hospital in Rochester (Greece), New York. He is preceded in death by his first wife Mary Lou and his father, L.T. Lindsey. He leaves to cherich his memory, his wife, Dorothy; sons, Ronnie, Jerome, Jeffrey Lindsey, Jason and Montrelle Curry; daughters, Delores, Deborah, all of Rochester, and Belinda Lindsey of Tallahassee, Florida; mother, Cloney Brown; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; aunt, Bertha Kimble; very dear friends, Angel Gause and family, Johnnie Terry and family, and Willie Jackson and family; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to name, but not forgotten.
