Obituary of Glen Raybon

Peacefully on January 9, 2016 surrounded by family and loved ones. Reverend Raybon was the beloved pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Niagara Falls, NY for 56 years. Highly esteemed in Niagara Falls and the Great Lakes area, Reverend Raybon tirelessly served his church, community, and many organizations with a devoted passion for service to God and his fellow man. A staunch advocate for education and civil rights, a mentor to hundreds, and the Pastor to generations of families, he will be forever celebrated for his faithfulness, kindness, and strength. He is predeceased by his wife of 63 years, the lovely Muzella Raybon. Reverend Raybon leaves brother, Wallace (Lela) Rayborn of Jackson MS; sister, Ernestine McGee of Collins, MS: Goddaughter and niece Dr. Idonia M. (Clifton) Owens; special niece Bettie J. Edwards, sister-in-law Idonia Clark, and a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, especially his Trinity Baptist Church family. The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church, 1366 South Ave. Niagara Falls, NY on Friday January 15th, from 6:00 - 8:00PM. Homegoing Service at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 351 Joseph Ave. Rochester, NY on Saturday January 16th, 11:00AM. Rev. Dr. Harmon E. Stockdale officiating. Viewing will be at 10:00AM prior to the service. Interment, Riverside Cemetery.
