At age 75. Survived by his wife, Louise; son, Dr. Walter (Lisa) Milton, Jr. of Springfield, Illinois; daughters, Karen (Ronald) Milton-Riggins, Patty Shorter, Angela Shorter, Sheila Kelly, and Demetris Beachum all of Rochester; brother and sister, George (Victoria) Milton and Carrie Wright of Georgetown, SC; 28 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Interment, Riverside Cemetery.
