Obituary of Edward Wharton Brereton

Born July 14, 1928 in Georgetown, Guyana. Predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Alexander Wharton Brereton; Forever cherished by his wife, Cecilia; brother, Verney; sisters, Beryl, Norma, Joan and Shirley; brothers-in-law, Wolfgang and Kenneth; sisters-in-law, Maryanne (Gerry) Grossman, Simone (Al) Esnard, Monica (Stephen) Andree, Sylvia, and Rose Jules; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eddie retired from Gannett Newspaper after 18 years of service. He worked as a printer, photo engraver, and also served as shop steward. Eddie was a devoted member of Masonic Lodge #426 with affiliations with the Northfield Lodge in Pittsford, NY, Damascus Temple and the Shriners. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Christ Church Memorial Fund, 141 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14604. Interment, Falls Cemetery, Greece, NY.
