Obituary of Bennie Haygood

After a 16 year battle with multiple cancers. She is predeceased by her husband, Herman Haygood, sisters, Doll Foster, Nettie Mae Dixon and Lelia Mae Jones. Survived by her children: Elder Napoleon Perry (Regina), Deretha Hines (Alvino), Sherry Tshibangu (Raphael, MD), Selma Perry-Haygood, Madeline Perry-Haygood, and Herman Perry-Haygood. Grandchildren she raised: Napoleon Monds, Joseph Monds, and Mateakka Washington. Adopted Children: Joseph Williams, Andrew and Marquis Haygood. Brothers: James and Johnny Peterson, of Rochester, NY. Sisters: Ethel Barber of Sodus, NY, Gertha Lee Goines (Willie) and Ozella Peterson of Cuthbert, Ga. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous in-laws, and dear friends.
A very special thanks to her many supportive friends, relatives, church family, physicians, and caretakers at Lifetime Care.
