Several days have passed since I heard of Ms. Siplin's untimely passing. I still can't believe it's true. The death of a person SO FULL OF LIFE AND LOVE is hard to understand. I just want to send my condolences to Dawn's family and to let them know that I will always think of her as a friend. She was a great woman, a tremendous mentor, a super shopper, an excellent cook, and a loved friend. I'm sorry for our loss.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dawn by working with her at East. Her dedication to her profession and ALL the children was immeasurable. I know that the lord has taken her, to him, for a higher purpose. We will only smile when we realize that purpose when we meet her again. The community at East High will not be the same without Ms. Dawn's giving personality that fostered a loving environment for everyone. -Until we meet again, Cathy

The sudden passing of our friend and co-worker at East High is quite sad. Dawn was always the one with a big smile and encouraging words to all she met. She was always willing to help out, no task was too big or too small. She always gave 110% and held a special place in her heart for the many students she worked with. We will all miss her dearly.

When I found out that there was a website where you can send your condolences, I wanted very much to reach out to the family. When I got to the website, god put it in my heart to share with your family what I love to do best and that is to express my thoughts/words in a poem. I hope this poem will give you comfort that I hope it does.
Gods Angels:
Today I met you, My heavenly Father. As I was carefully guided by your angels I stopped and looked below concerned about all of my love ones, and one of your angels said, For God said: worry not for the ones you love and are left behind, for I love them to and I will guide and watch over them just as i have done you. I tell you all, I'm ok, Our father loves us and we'll meet again soon maybe not today but we will one day. So, look to the sky above for I'll be there too, standing right next to our father watching over you. Look for the star @ night that gives a radiant glow, and this will be me, shining just to let you know I am here. With love Jenny Dozier

I had the honor and privilege of working with Ms. Dawn Siplin at East High School. She always went above and beyond for her students. Dawn had that great combination of nurturing and tough love that kids responded to. She made a real difference in the lives of many young people. I will so miss seeing her in the halls, the elevator, the snack bar and with Ms. Davis. Her warmth, her ready smile, her caring, her hospitality and her sense of humor will be missed more than I can say.
To her loved ones, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure the wonderful qualities she showed at work were only a part of the beauty of who she was. Speaking for the staff and students who worked with Ms. Siplin, we all will feel her absence but we can celebrate having had the opportunity to share her presence and her memory.

This is a tragedy to me and my kids! We love this Woman soooo much. Words can't began to explain what a wonderful, nurturing, lovin person she was. She will be more than missed it will take some time for my broken heart to heal, but I knows what she expects out of me so I must carry that out. Until my assignment is over as well. She was ANGEL, and our Father has taken her home and one day I will be with her again. I LOVE YOU ETERNITY! YOUR NIECE, ERICKA, CHAQUESE, TIMERIS, and nephew KYLE JR.
