Edith was a Library helper at Frederick Douglass Junior High School. I believe she and I began in the Library together. She as a helper and I was a Library assistant. Elaine Graves was the Audio Visual Assistant at the time would hold conversations about books, family and school. Then, we would end up laughing over the smallest thing. She was our sunshine. Edith and family are in my prayers.

I would like to send my condolences out to the family of my beloved friend Edith, the world experienced a huge loss with the passing of Edith, one less smiling face, one less humlble person, one less empathetic person, there is a shortage and no matter who you were when you were around Edith she never let you feel as if you were not important,I have know Edith since we were 15 and although she always excelled academically and I was an average student she never flaunted her talents she only encouraged me to do better, she wanted me to do better, that's a friend and my friend for life, I am a better person for having known Edith, the only way I can picture her is smiling and that speaks volumes.... we are all truly blessed, Daisy you did an excellent job, your seedling grew up to be a "ROSE" that has definately planted seed in several lives so she lives on within us.
With Love and Respect Travon Cleveland

Daisy,
Words fall short of expressing my sorrow.
I know we never lose the people we love. They live the rest of our lives with us in our heart. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Edith was truly a treasure. May you find strength in the wonderful memories you shared with Edith. Your family is in my prayers. Tyra

Soliloquy to Edith
Making an imprint on this earth and in our souls, Edith passed on too soon.
So many more could have learned from her wisdom, been graced by her presence, and touched by her spirit.
Wise beyond her years, a confident "old" soul; a rich soul. Edith had integrity and lived with an honesty that we all should emulate.
She had an incredible work ethic and enthusiasm to follow - whether she was at the District, at Hillside or even at Wally World. Edith was our "go to" person, our problem-solver, our listener, our healer, our fun, our friend. She gave and gave and gave- setting an example for all to follow.
Angels do walk on this earth. Edith was one of them.
Edith, you have left this earth but will never leave our hearts.

It was with sadness that I learned of the passing of my cousin, your loved one. Although I cannot be with you physically, please know that you are in my prayers. May the memories of Edith and the warm and caring thoughts and deeds, of those who share your loss, be a comfort to you and help you to find peace. Cast all your cares upon Him; for He careth for you. I Peter 5:7
