Obituary of Eric Jones

Our beloved Eric James Jones graced this world on May 10, 1975 in Rochester, NY, born to Willie James and Barbara Gean (Glasgow) Jones. Eric was one of three children. Eric received his formal education from the Rochester City School District, where he graduated from East High School in 1993. He continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College. Affectionately known as "Uncle E" by his beloved niece and nephew, he will be remembered by his deep voice, infectious smile, sense of humor and his devotion to his son, Eric II, and stepson, June. Following in his father's footsteps, Eric enjoyed barbequing for his family and friends. Eric was also a barber since his youth. He started cutting hair in his home, and later at Coley's Barber Shop as a Master Barber. He enjoyed a productive career at Alleson of Rochester, where he was employed since June, 2007 as an order picker operator, forklift driver and management assistant. Prior to Alleson, Eric was a production and assembly technician at Nukote International, Inc. Eric James Jones suddenly departed this earthly life Monday, January 4, 2010. He is predeceased by his parents, Willie James and Barbara Jones, and sister Tamara "Tammy" Jones-Williams. He leaves to treasure fond memories: his son, Eric James Jones, II; stepson, June; his loving sister, Travita R. Jones; brother-in-law, Deryal Williams; his niece, Deavana Williams; his nephew, William Jones, and companion, Irma Maldonado, all of Rochester, NY, and a host of loving uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
