Obituary of Joseph Carter

At age 72. Rev. Carter was the former pastor of the Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Syracuse, NY and the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Rochester, NY. He is preceded by his father and mother, Benjamin and Willie Mae Carter, one son, Sylvester L. Carter and one brother, Charles Carter. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 53 years, Vivian; sons, Joe Lewis (Donna) Roberts of Philadelphia, PA and Timothy (Faye) Carter of St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Joanne Jackson of Rochester and Mae Carter of St. Lucie, FL; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, James (Roberta), Isaiah (Patricia) and Robert (Cynthia) Carter; sisters, Avon Hines and Frances Floyd; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and church family.

Interment, Riverside Cemetery.
