Rochester: February 2, 2010 at age 74, with his family surrounding him. Al was an entrepreneur and successful business owner for more than 50 years, owning and operating Flower City Interior & Exterior Painting, Window Cleaning Service, Nile Valley Restaurant, Al's Grocery, Mac's Laundromat, and Kinney's Dry Cleaners. He was also a community activist, former President of the Plymouth Ave. Business Association, and a Charter Member of the Falcon Trap & Game Club. He will be forever remembered by his wife of 52 years, Louise; his children, Jacqueline (Paul) Jones of Florida, Sandra (Charles) Flowers, Geraldine (Gus) Knight, Alfred (Kim) McKinney, Kimberly McKinney, Alton "Dwayne" (Yulanda) McKinney, Algernon "Darryl" (Rosemary) McKinney, Alleson "Dean" (SeAsia) McKinney, Sonja McKinney of Georgia; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Hemphill, Willa Jean Jones and Mildred Thornton of Ohio; cousin, Mariam (Jake) Proctor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
