Lueeller Caldwell was born on March 25, 1909, to Cora Lee Brooks & Joseph Brooks in Waverly, Alabama. She married John Lee Caldwell of Opelika Alabama in 1940. Some years later she gave birth to her only children her eldest daughter Mary, and her youngest daughter Janie. Lueeller worked hard in the farmlands of Alabama. She was a housekeeper and earned very low wages to support her family. In April of 1969 she moved to Rochester, New York, with her two daughters. She was a woman of pride and much integrity. She had the spirit of a lamb and the strength of a lion. She had a strong belief in God and family values. She was blessed to see four generations after her be born and played an important role in their upbringing. She loved children and spent most of her life caring for them. March 25th she celebrated her 101st birthday surrounded with the love of her family. Up until January of 2010 she was still strong, healthy, alert, and beautiful. Her health took a turn for the worst in March of 2010, and April 1st God called her home. Lueeller is predeceased by her husband John Lee Caldwell. By her mother Cora Lee Brooks, and father Joseph brooks. Her sister Mary Lockhart, brothers Eugene and Lonnie Brooks and Son-in-law Timothy Davis and her great grandson Malcolm Xavier Johnson. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her sisters and brother Annie Thelma Bailey(Edward Bailey), Sarah Brooks and Robert lee Brooks (Gertrude Brooks). Her daughters Mary Ann Barber (Lawrence Barber) and grandchildren, Arthur, Chris, John, LaDonna, Theresa, Vanessa, Moses, Stirlynn, and Bilan. Her daughter Janie Davis and grandchildren, Sandra and Loretta. 45 Great grandchildren, 24 great -great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Interment, Falls Cemetery, Greece, NY.
