Obituary of Spencer Schuyler

Spencer was born on May 17, 1929 to Harriett and Leon Schuyler. He grew up in Rochester, NY where he lived with two brothers, Anthony (Puggy), David and one sister Betty (Sissy). At the age of seventeen he began to travel around the east coast first living in NYC, then Newark and finally in Baltimore before returning home to Rochester. Spencer had a talent and passion for interior design and so wherever he lived he would tear it down and remodel. However Spencer's true passion was music and people. He loved to help people especially young people whom he would guide and support. He loved to laugh and anyone who spent time with him can probably still hear his infectious laugh and remember a story or two. Having departed this life on Monday, July 12, 2010, Spencer J. Schuyler is survived by his son, Robin Joynes; sister, Betty G. DeRouen; nephews and nieces, Tony Schuyler, Paul Schuyler, Carl Madison, Joann Schuyler, Stephen Madison, Terry Santiago, Karen DeRouen, Wendy DeRouen, Renee DeRouen, and special friend, Mary Jefferson; a host of other relatives and friends.
