Obituary of Rosalyn Williams

Rosalyn Williams was born August, 7, 1953 in Andrews, South Carolina to Thomasethel (Moyd) and Arthur Johnson. In 1959 she moved to New York State with her parents and attended Benjamin Franklin high school and graduated in 1966. After graduation she became a Certified Nurse Assistant and worked of several agencies. During her service as a C.N.A she was blessed with her first born. Later married and had two more children and soon after suffered a stroke. After her stroke she continued for 23 years to live her life to the fullest never letting her disability hinder her ability to be a good mother, daughter, and friend. Rosalyn was a faithful member to her church (St. John Missionary Baptist) located in Rochester, New York. She was also known for her smile and optimism and her loud and contagious laugh. On August 5, 2010, Rosalyn Williams lost her battle to breast cancer and now rest in peace. She left behind to carry on her legacy and to celebrate her life a son Jerry Lee Williams II. of Orlando FL, two daughters Dedra (Anthony Allen) Pickett and Yolanda Williams; 6 grandchildren all of Rochester, NY; 4 brothers: Theron Johnson, Melvin Johnson of San Francisco, Ca., John (Adele) Johnson, and Randolph (Eileen) Johnson and one sister Creola (Merris) Gibbs; 6 aunts, 8 uncles, 1 grand uncle and many nieces nephews and cousins. Pastor Crittenden, officiating. Interment, Falls Cemetery, Greece, NY.
