Obituary of Janette Everett

Janette Brinson Everett, 57, of Rochester, NY, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2011. She was born May 27, 1953 in Rochester, NY to Ophelia Johnson Brinson and the late Joseph Brinson. She was the eldest of 3 siblings: Sandra Ann Brinson and Rose McCoy. Janette was a graduate of Monroe High School, class of 1971. As a long-time employee of Rochester Gas & Electric, holding various positions ranging from payroll manager to service restoration specialist, retiring in 2010. Janette's memory is cherished by her mother, Ophelia Brinson of Rochester, NY, son and daughter-in-law, David and Telesea Everett of Minneapolis, MN; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Rayshan Knight of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Dylan, Imani and Kimberly; uncles, Earl Johnson of Charlottesville, VA, Purnell Johnson Sr., Daniel Johnson Sr. and William Johnson Sr. of North Garden, VA and several generations of beloved cousins. Ms. Everett was preceded by her father, Joseph, sister, Sandra Ann and son Charles Jr. As a mother, sister, and friend, Janette touched the lives of many people. From Lewis Street to the Rochester Rams, from New York to Minnesota to Florida, Janette's smile, generosity, and trademark sense of humor provided warmth and inspiration to all she came in contact with.
