March 2, 2011 at age 73. Mr. Simmons was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his son, Andre (Beverley); daughters, Nadine (Carlos) Manns, Joanne Brown and Jackie Simmons; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Billie and Matthew; sisters, Joanne Broussard, Katey Epps and Isabelle Brock; many other relatives.
