Peacefully surrounded by family on July 21, 2011 at the age of 71. Predeceased by his father, Fredwin Sr. Survived by his wife Jacquelin; his children, Jen (Chris) Wray, Angie Morris, "adopted children", Chris Morris and Kim Morris; grandchildren, Shaun (Allison) Morris, David (Nikki) Davis, Niki Morris, Scott Trammell, and "adopted grandchild" Kendall Morris; one great-grand daughter Alyx Davis; mother, Mary; sister, Marva Smith; brother, Edmond C. (Gayle) Gayton; Sisters-in-law, Donna (Gil) Hite and Carole (Melvin Sr.) Proctor; many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Fred was an Alfred State A&T alumni and Chaplin of Kappa Sigma Epsilon Fraternity. He retired from Eastman Kodak after 39 years of service. He volunteered at Unity Adult Day Service- St. Bernard's and Edna Tina Wilson Living Center. Fred volunteered at the Alzheimer's Association as librarian and Care Giver Support Group facilitator.
Calling hours Tuesday 4-7pm at the funeral home. Funeral service, Wednesday, 11:AM (visitation will begin at 10AM) at Bay Knoll SDA Church, 2639 E. Ridge Road.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred's name to the Palliative Care Program, University of Rochester Medical Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Box 687, Rochester, NY 14642 or Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
