Obituary of Devon Kelly

The gift of life was given to Devon O'niel Kelly, best known as "Crep" or "Devi", on November
13, 1963 in Victoria Jubilee Hospital, in Kingston, Jamaica. Born to parents Elizabeth Sievwright
and the late Farrol U. Kelly, Devon was the fourth child to enter their family.
Devon received his early childhood education from St. Simon Basic School, Jones Town Primary
School, and Denham Town Secondary School. After Devon completed his schooling, he worked
as a gardener at the Jamaica Defense Force. He migrated to the United States in 1990, where he
spent some time in New Jersey and New York City before he decided on settling in Rochester,
NY. Devon was employed by Medical Motors, where he served as a specialized transportation
for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities and specials needs to receive non-emergency
services and help them remain active in their communities. He also worked in several factories in
Rochester. Devon was last employed at the Laborer's International Union.
Crep was called home on December 26, 2016. Crep has left behind his two sons O'niel also
known as Boyze and Andrew also known as Shamar, his daughter Jamilia also known as Missy
and his granddaughter Taneilia. His brothers Farrol, Donovan, and Venton and his sisters Carrol
and Judy live to cherish his memory. He has many nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
Crep loved soccer, he love to listen to music and watch movies. Crep has many family and
friends around the world who love and adore him. Many people can attest that he never ceased to
offer a helping hand to others.
