Obituary of Hildagard Hill Lawery

Hildagarde was born June 20, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Edward and Fredricka Wilson and the grand daughter of the late Reverend Samuel and Margaret Wilson. She attended the Rochester City School District and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1970. Shortly after, she married Mr. James Hill and from this union a daughter "Tiffany Hill" was born. She later married Gregory Lawery in 2009. Hilda was employed at the Rochester Telephone Company, Blue Cross/Blue Shield for many years, a Parients Liaison for the Rochester City School District, as well as, the Rochester Housing Authority. Hilda accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Samuel Wilson. Hilda was a faithful member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church; throughout the years she served in the choir, on the Usher Board, Sharing & Caring Ministry and recently organized the Reunion of the Antioch Junior Choir. Hilda's favorite scripture is Psalm 121. Hilda played a key role in various commitees and organizations in the church. She knew her purpose and that was to serve the Lord. Hilda was very passionate and was known to have spent countless hours nurturing and caring for others, even throughout her illness, she would give her last to anyone and was very devoted to her family and friends, but most of all she loved having social and family gatherings.
