Obituary of Willie McDuffie

Willie Mae McDuffie was born October 3, 1942 in Gainesville, Florida to the late Ernest and Wilma Ellis. She accepted Christ at a young age, and was baptized under Reverend Davis at Springhill Baptist Church in Gainesville, Florida. Willie Mae attended the Lincoln High School. She was later employed by William Elementary School. She loved to cook and bake cinnamon rolls from scratch every holiday. Willie Mae will be sorely missed by family and friends. Preceded in death by her father and mother, Ernest and Wilma Ellis, Willie Mae departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, leaving to cherish loving memories: her husband, Willie McDuffie; three sons: Willie, Elijah and Joseph McDuffie; two daughters, Ophelia McDuffie and Adele Presha; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Reverend Robert (Betty) Ellis and Ernest (Evangelist Gladys) Ellis of Gainesville, Florida; three sisters: Elizabeth Thomas of Rochester, New York, Letease Downey and Vanessa Brown, both of Gainesville, Florida and a host of other relatives and friends.
