Obituary of Bruce Lorenzo Anthony

Passed peacefully in his sleep at home after a long illness on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at age 61. He is survived by daughters, Scharyta (Byron) Lawson, Evette Benitez, Tiffany Anthony, Michele E. Anthony (fiancé Lashard Lowry, Sr.), Haunani Hopkins and Simone Hopkins; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Bernice Anthony; sisters, Gail (Charles) Wilson-Becoats and Mavis Lockett; brother-in-law, Ali Uthman; aunt, Jacqueline (Carl) Uthman; several nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by father, Plais Anthony and sister, Barbara J. Uthman. Family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, 10-11AM with service to immediately follow at Community Bible Church, 290 Andrews St. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family wishes to thank his care team at Rochester General Hospital, including Julie Lewis for the wonderful care they provided to Bruce. In addition, thanks to Jackie Greene of HCR Home Care for the special care provided for his final days at home. Thank you also to Elisa Benitez for her devoted care throughout his illness.
