Obituary of James M. Dawson

James M. Dawson, 76, of Rochester passed away on August 23, 2017. He was born on April 17, 1941 in Abbeville, SC and was the son of the late Mabry and Rosella Ramey Dawson. He leaves behind his daughter Sherrie Dawson of Lockport; her mother and his close friend Rose Tabor of Medina; five sisters Mamie Quarles of Abbeville, SC; Essie Dawson of Forest Park, GA; Bertha (John) Delarge of Camden, NJ; Florence Dawson of Jamaica, NY; and Carrie (Russell) Blanding of Morrow, GA. He leaves behind two brothers Mabry Dawson of Decatur, GA and Ollie Dawson of Abbeville, SC. He leaves one Aunt Evalena T. Dawson of Abbeville, SC. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. He was proceeded in death by three sisters Doris Allen, Pearl Dawson and Rosa Mae Brown; two brothers Midd Dawson and Raymond Dawson. At James' request there were no calling hours or services. His burial was held on Friday, Sept 1 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, NY.
