My condolences on your loss. I wish to share comfort from the Bible at this sad time. The wonderful future resurrection hope is the promise found at John 5:28,29. Revelation 21:3,4 states that in the future ' death will be no more. and pain will be no more, the former things will have passed away.' Our Creator, Jehovah God, by means of his son Jesus, is going to undo the pain and suffering that affects our lives today and we will be able to welcome back onto the paradise earth,our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death.
