Obituary of Earnest Lawson

Henrietta: Passed away peacefully on September 25, 2013 at age 78. Mr. Lawson is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Julia A. Wallace Lawson; daughters, Jennifer (Pelson) Brock-Polk of Houston, Texas, Jackie Dozier of Rochester, NY Minister Katrina (Rev. Alan) Haskins of Baytown, Texas, and Alfreda D. Jackson of Rochester, NY; sons: Hiram G. (Sandra) Lawson of Rochester, NY and Minister Jerome A. (Stephanie) Green of Bridgewater, MA; brother, Leroy (Beverly) Lawson of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Cathlyn Lawson of Atlanta, GA and Lillie (Walter) Ingram of Enterprise, Alabama; brothers-in-law, James (Carrie), Willie (Brenda) and LeNard (Linda) Wallace, all of Rochester, NY; sisters-in-law, Thomasena Wallace of Silver Springs, MD, Mari Wallace of Washington, D.C. and Rena Lawson of Quincy FL; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; A dear friend brother Andrew Sneed; close friends, Willie Williams, Ron Makly and Howard Bellamy; a host of nephews, nieces, friends and his New Bethel CME Church family. He is preceded by daughter and son-in-law, Kim Yvette and Rev. Brian Glasper-Dobbs. Mr. Lawson was a successful entrepreneur of many businesses that included Kim trucking, E. L. Lawson Trucking, A. J. Express and Lawson Travel Bus Company. (NO FLOWERS. Donations may be made in memory of Mr. Lawson to the New Bethel CME Church Capital Improvement Campaign.)
