Fredrick ("Sonny") L. Headd was born on April 16, 1954, to parents Julia Hickman (deceased) and Percy Head in Louisville, Mississippi. After attending high school, he would later relocate to Rochester, NY. There he met Barbara Williams, who became not only his wife, but his partner in life. The two married September 2, 1989, surrounded by family and friends.

A beautiful life came to an end on July 12, 2023. Predeceased by his son, Derek Headd and his mother, Julia Hickman, he leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Barbara Headd; father, Percy Head, of Detroit, MI; son, Lamar Bryant; daughter, Shawnta Belliard; god daughter, Latousya Goins; brothers, Darnell, Tony {Rachel}, Reggie {Alice}, Chris Valdez, Percy Jr. {Crystal},Dion, Anthony and Kamari; sisters, Annie, Trenice {Charlie}, Angie {LaRue}, Tonya, Chrissy, Joy, Coco, and Keisha {Sweet}; Aunt, Princess {Andrew} Adams, of N. Carolina; grandchildren, Jada Bryant, Mekhai Bryant, Lamar Bryant, Jr., L' Amaj Bryant, Legend Bryant, Legacy Bryant, Loyalty Byrant, Alexis Correa, Sonly Carter, Jr., Kyara Belliard, and Rafael Belliard III; sister-in laws, Jeanette Williams, Johnnie M. Williams, Shirley Williams, and Muriel Larkins; brother-in law, Levi {Bernice} Buggs, a special niece, Jordyn Larkins, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

"Sonny" as he was known by most who knew him, greeted everyone with a smile. He was friendly, social and extremely outgoing. A jack of all trades, he loved fishing, hunting and traveling. He was kind and generous; a giant presence, well respected and loved by all. He will be remembered for his enormous heart and the great times shared with his friends and family. He will be missed dearly
