At age 74, Joseph passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, July 5, 2023 at Hil-debrandt Hospice Care Center. He was born on August 8, 1948, in Munford, AL. Survived by his wife, Mary Ann Gaddis; daughter, Tracy Archie (Jacob Brinson, Jr.); son, Derek L. Archie; special niece, Tara (Anthony) Ar-chie-Green; brothers, Allen Archie (Munford, AL), and Wesley Archie (Rochester, NY); sisters, Sarah (Roosevelt) Hightower (Atlanta, GA), Matilda Emerson (Atlanta, GA), and Carrie Archie (Roch-ester, NY); grandchildren, Briana Wells Archie, Kendall A. Brinson, bonus granddaughter, Dominique Brinson; and a large host of loving nieces and nephews.

Joseph proudly retired from RCSD Transportation after almost 20 years of service, he enjoyed bowling with a professional team, and truly loved traveling, especially to his hometown in Silver Run, AL to spend time with his family.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
