Sharon “Diane” Blocker was born in Mt Pleasant, FL., on Novemeber 27, 1955; the daughter of late Elgie Brinson Blocker Sr. (Buddy) and Costine Lee Blocker. Diane was the first of fifteen children born to this union. She relocated to Brockport, NY, excelled in fashion and design, and graduated senior class of 1973. She planted her roots and raised her family in Rochester, NY. Diane was free spirited, never met a stranger, and welcomed everyone with open arms. She was an amazing cook and made sure no one went hungry. If anyone ever needed somewhere to live, homelessness was not an option on Diane’s watch, because of her compassionate heart. She was a natural jokester and if you didn’t have a sense of humor, she gave you one. She was well known for being the life of the party, making her humor and laughter infecious. Diane’s hobbies included crocheting, word search puzzles, coloring, dancing and cracking jokes. She loved being in the company of her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Sharon Diane Blocker-Moore departed this life on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. She is predeceased by her parents; Elgie Sr. (Buddy) and Constine Blocker, Sisters; Lou Helen and Judy Blocker, Brother; Elgie Blocker Jr. and Son; DeMario Moore. She leaves to mourn, spouse; Clarence Moore. four loving daughters; Bonita Blocker (Bum), Dina Dean, Jasmine and Tarah Moore. grandchildren; Tasia, Kanden, Dasani Blocker, Kaleb and Kamryn Nesbitt, DeMario Moore, Kaylee Coleman and Dakota Miller. great-gradchildren; Nicholas Jumpp, Shaniya and Na’Karrianna Jackson, Kai’Lynn, Kameiya, King Judah and Queen Darlenarose Blocker and King Durrant. siblings; Carvin Blocker (Christine), Taffedy England (Scott), Darren, Apasha, Joyce, Tina, Michael, Tito, Joel and Stephen Blocker and Askyia Lacy (Larry). A host of nieces and nephews, to include Elgie Blocker III, Iesha McGill and Tarek Garrett. |
