Passed on Monday, June 5, 2023 at age 79. Lady Leola was born October 19,1943 in Greenville Alabama to the late George and Fannie Mae Hawkins.
Preceeded in death by both parents; her brothers, Charlie Hawkins and Carl Thomas; and sister, Judy Brown.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 54 years, Rev. Jimmie C. Hickson; 6 daughters, Deirdra Brown, Marilyn Powell, Jacqueline Simpson, Sharon Simpson, Marvia Simpson and Tabitha Hickson; adopted grandson, Tristan Hickson; 4 sisters, Angeline Thomas, Johnnie Mae McDaniel, Annie Nell Fagnes and Brenda Roper; 2 brothers, Willie George Hawkins and Chester Hawkins; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
