Tayon Jamere Martray Hester was born on October 15, 1994, to Kanza Williams here in Rochester NY. At an early age Tayon got a chance to explore the world, leaving Rochester NY to live for a short time in Schweinfurt Germany where his mother was enlisted in the US Army. Upon returning home, Tayon’s energetic nature drove his mom to enroll him in Pop Warner football. Sports turned out to be his passion. His love for sports grew, he played throughout the Pop Warner years, transitioned into High School football at Fairport High School where he graduated in 2013. Watching football and discussing the games with his grandfather was a highlight for Tayon growing up. He was saved and filled with the holy spirit at a young age under the ministry of Pastor Gloria Anderson of Believers Temple Church. He loved life and making others laugh. Tayon left an impression on all of his friends, he was a kind and gentle soul, always lending an ear to listen and whatever you needed, if he had it, you had it too. His smile was infectious, it would light up a room. To know Tayon was to love him. He changed our family forever and touched many lives during his time here with us.

Tayon will forever be loved. He is predeceased by his paternal grandmother LindaFaye Hester. He is survived by his mother Kanza Chatman and estranged stepfather Keyvin Chatman. Siblings Jarel Williams, Jaliyah Mulligan, Keyvin Chatman Jr., Damon Jr., Davon, Dasani and Amya Hester. Grandparents Myra Williams and Alfred Price. Aunts Nijimah Alce, Justina Franklin, Jaana Franklin, Kiana Franklin, Latrina (Danni) Ashton-Harrell, Brandi Hester-Harrell. Uncles Tracy Williams, Kerly Alce, Brandon Hester-Harrell and a host of additional aunts, uncles and cousins. We love you, Tay and we’re thankful God gave us you, may your imprint on our hearts never fade.        

Tayon will be greatly missed.
