Obituary of Lila May Glass

Lila May Glass was born in Atlanta, Georgia (Fayetteville); to the union of Dorsey and Sarah (Durham) Glasson March 17, 1950.

Lila was educated through ninth grade and worked numerous jobs thereafter. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Her hobbies were reding, listening to music and watching her favorite TV shows. A Philanthropist at heart, Lila commonly donated to over 50 foundations including, Special Olumpics, Marine Toys for Tots and Rosewell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Helping others was her passion.

Lila was predeceased by her father, Dorsey Glass; brothers, Harry & Willie Glass; and her grandmother, Lizzie Glass. Departing this life on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at age 73; she leaves to mourn her passing, a devoted mother, Sarah Glass of Rochester, NY; 2 sons, Joseph & Jarmel Glass; 3 daughters, Jacqueline Chastain, Cassandra Glass & Christine (Frankie Sr.) Spencer; 9 grandchildren, Chastity & Aleah Rivera, Shun-Drell White Sr., Janai Moutrie, Samuel, Samiere & Samara Williams, Jarmel Glass JR. and Deja Glass;  6 great grandchildren, Jaelah & Jaeden Jackson, Kori Nix, Kadence McGill, Vivianni Cuffie and Shun-Drell White Jr.; aunt, Ruby K. Johnson; uncle, John W. Glass of Atlants, GA; nephews, Harry Jr., Michael, Bryan and James Jr. Glass; mieces, Debrine and Jacqueline Glass and Lisa Taggert; many other relatives and friends.

Lila lived her life knowing and believing that God would see her through all things. She would tell you what she felt no matter how pissed it made you feel. We will keep her in our hearts and memories as she will be truly and dearly missed.
