Minnie Lee Flagler was born on June 24, 1937 to the late Woodrow and Alice Flagler, in Kingstree, South Carolina. As the eldest of six siblings, she helped her parents lovingly mother and rear the family’s children.

In 1949, Woodrow Flagler moved his family to Eustis, Florida to pursue greater employment opportunity. While in Florida, she attended Eustis Vocational High School, graduating in 1955.

In 1961, Minnie moved to Rochester, New York, where she worked at St. John’s Nursing Home as an Environmental Supervisor for over 25 years until retirement. Prior to her retirement, she met and married Theron Rich and was a devoted and loving wife for 8 years, until the Lord called him home. In retirement, she enjoyed cooking bountiful holiday and special occasion meals for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Minnie also loved serving in her church’s clothing distribution and food pantry ministries.

Raised by a God-fearing mother, Minnie accepted Christ at an early age as her personal savior. In 1961, she joined Church of God under the leadership of Reverend Harrison Blackwell. Minnie, a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a devotional member of New Covenant Church of God Ministries accepted the calling to serve.

Minnie was instrumental as a founder and the president of the Golden Angels Gospel Singers, and for over 25 years the group sang songs of praise to our Savior and his power to deliver all who would serve Him.

In 1970, she accepted a calling to become an Evangelist and further began spreading the gospel message of Jesus Christ. She worked diligently as The President of the Ladies Ministry and was elected as the NYS Women’s Discipleship Leader of the Year.

She was a member of the New Covenant Church Choir, and the Seasoned Sister Chorus, where she believed in giving God the praise.

Minnie was also a member of the Unified Mission, The Penitentiary Ministry, Sista to Sista, and Unity Living Center Missionary Ministry, where she faithfully preached the word of God.

To all who knew her, Minnie was always known for saying “I have lived too long for the Lord to let any of you cause me to miss my way”.

Minnie peacefully transitioned from earth to heaven to enter her eternal rest on Holy Monday, April 3, 2023.
