Darna passed away suddenly at her home in Shreveport, Louisiana on Friday February 24, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born in Pontotoc, Ms. to the late George and Minnie R. Floyd.
She leaves a family who adored and cherished her. They include her husband of 40 years, Lamar Jackson; her only daughter, Dadrienne Floyd; and her loving stepson, Theodore (Christal) Jackson. Her nuclear family includes two brothers, George and Comelia (Rosetta) Floyd; and two sisters Patricia Floyd and Alena (Milton) Johnson. She has one grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many lifelong friends.
