Obituary of Willie F. Williams
Willie “Frankie” Williams peacefully passed away on Saturday September 24th, 2022 in Rochester, NY. Born to John “JR” Williams and the late Janie Bostic on October 12, 1939 in Plant City, FL. He is predeceased by his loving wife Shirley Williams of 40 yrs.
In 1956 Willie graduated from high school where he was a famous basketball player, and the fans would yell out “Frown Face Willie” whenever he took a shot. Once he left high school he did a tour in the army then later graduated from Bryant & Stratton. After graduation he obtained employment at Schlegel Manufacturing Company and Kodak.
Willie was baptized at Reynolds Street Church of Christ in 1982. He enjoyed preaching and teaching the word of GOD with his phenomenal memory he could recite the bible like no other. Willie would always pray and worship with so much compassion and conviction. His main focus was his love for the lord and praying for others to follow his lead. His love for the lord was evident!
He is survived by his father John “JR” Williams (Fort Myers, FL) two uncles Floyd Williams(Columbia, SC), Carlton Williams (Branden, FL) Auntie Doretha C. Williams-Thomas( Birmingham, AL) sister Genevieve Jackson( Rochester, NY) , 7 children William, Eric, Danielle, and Timothy of (Rochester, Ny) and Willie Jr. Christopher and Shirley of (Richmond, VA). He also leaves behind a host of beautiful grandchildren, great grands, niece, nephews, and close friends.
