Obituary of Kenneth Hawkins

Passed on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at age 66.

Kenneth Hawkins was born February 23, 1956, in Tuskegee, Alabama to Louise Johnson Hawkins.

Kenny graduated from James Madison High School in Rochester, NY. He later went to the Army and served from 1975 to 1979. He received the Marksman M16 Sharpshooter, and Hand Grenade badges. Also, water treatment and plumbing specialist. Kenny was a roofer by trade under local Union 22 when he retired.

Kenny accepted and confessed his life to Christ and was baptized at Goodwill Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Albert W. Forbes.

Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, adding laughter to their hearts. Kenny was a loving person who loved and appreciated life. He was a mathematician and loved challenging himself with numbers and later shared his knowledge with his nieces and nephews.

On Thursday, August 4, 2022, he answered the Master’s call at Strong Memorial Hospital.

He is predeceased by his wife, Gloria Jean Hawkins. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother; Louise Hawkins of Rochester, NY; one sister, Tina L. Hawkins; one brother Eddie Hawkins of Rochester, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Kenny shall surely be missed but not forgotten.
