Annette Cummings was born in Mitchell, Georgia to the late Winnie Lou Cheely on June 9, 1940. She departed this earthly life on July 5, 2022.

Annette worked at the Rochester Psychiatric Center for 29 years as a Mental Health Therapy Aide, she also served as an usher at the Aenon Missionary Baptist Church and was honored for her many years of service. Annette enjoyed baking, fresh flowers, and tending to her many plants. She was also an avid bowler in her early years and participated in many tournaments. Annette had a witty sense of humor and told it like it was. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, she treasured the moments when they spent time together.  Annette will truly be missed by them, her children, and the rest of her family and her friends. She is in GOD’S care now and forever in our hearts.

Survived by her son Calvin (Loretta) Cummings and daughter Jeanette (Kamae McNeil) Cummings Balkum, grandchildren; Cedric Balkum, Yolanda (Nikki) Cummings, Clayton Cummings, Vernon Cummings, Kiara Balkum, and Alisha Balkum, sisters; Annie B. Hayes, Texas and Lucille (Cookie) Hurt, Georgia.
