Edna May Nelson was born on December 31st. 1926 in Cuba West Indies to Eustace and Maude Reid.

Edna’s parents went to Cuba for better working opportunities but Edna was raised in Jamaica West Indies.

Edna immigrated to England where she met Joseph and got married on August 2, 1958. They were married for 63 years.  Edna and Joseph worked hard and saved their money and immigrated to the United States.

Edna was a Godly woman and loved to praise the Lord. When she became sick and unable to attend church she would watch church services on TV.  Edna was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Rochester, New York under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Anthony Bonds.

Edna is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Nelson. One brother and three sisters and step-son Roy. She leaves behind to mourn Charles, Arizona, and Jasmine in Manhattan NY. Wesley Jamaica West Indies, Derrick United Kingdom, and several grandchildren. Her loving family also included several nieces and nephews in England and Rochester April, Sharon, and David, and other relatives.

 She will be sadly missed and remembered for her infectious laugh and her immaculate dress.
