We wanted to express our condolences to First Lady Emma Nelson, our god sister, Carleatha Nelson and the family of Pastor Carl Nelson. I will always cherish the memories of singing in the Young Adult Choir under the direction of First Lady Emma, with Rev. Nelson playing guitar. Rev. Nelson sang songs such as "Rise Again" and "Where my Jesus is." When my husband wanted to learn how to play the base guitar some years ago, I initially told him to get in touch with Rev. Nelson for lessons. Rev. Nelson was always calm and smooth as he played the guitar, but powerful and explosive as he preached the word of God! I also remember Rev. Nelson always taking care of himself physically by getting exercise. Another soldier gone to glory. Rest in God's Peace and Love.
