January 2, 2014 at age 89. Preceded by his first wife of 62 years, Margaret McClary. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his wife, Mennie Harris-McClary; 8 children, Cecil Jr. (Mary), James (Edith), Elrita (Wilbur) Warren-Tisdale, Margie McClary, Haze Sr. (Glenda), Mary (Reginald) Hill, all of Rochester, New York, Willie (Barbara) of Lane, South Carolina and Dr. Lovely A. (Michael) Thornton of Ft. Washington, MD; 10 stepchildren, Dorothy (William) Booker, Ruth Abram, Naomi Harris, Mattie (Samuel) Snowden, Debra Kay (Joe) Ray, Bertha (Don) Carter, Henrietta Price, Willie Rufus (Eureka) Harris Sr., Jacqueline (Jerry) Green and Angela (Frank) Wrigthen; 44 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Griffin of Brooklyn, NY; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, 4-9PM (Remembrances will begin at 7PM) at the Central Church of Christ, 101 S. Plymouth Ave. Homegoing Service, Tuesday, 11AM, at the Church.
