Obituary of Phyllis P. Rollin
Phyllis P. Rollin was born March 2, 1962 to the union of the late Elizabeth Jones-Rollin and Tillmon Rollin in Rochester, New York. From this union three daughters (Ella, Sheila & Phyllis) and one Son, (Richard ) were born. Phyllis graduated from James Monroe High School in the year 1980. A graduate of Bryant & Stratton College, Rochester New York on June 1, 2012, which she received her Associate Degree of Applied Science in Medical Assisting. A graduate with the achievement of a grade point average of 4.0.
Over the years, Phyllis held many jobs and was last employed by Strong Memorial Hospital, as a Medical Secretary/Medical Billing Department. Phyllis loved read the Bible and she always loved helping her family and others. Loved taking walks and watching Soap Operas (Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless) also loved watching Married to Medicine. Phyllis loved animals, which she became best friends with her Sister Sheila cat Sneakers which was adopted from the Verona animal Shelter. She is known by the nickname Tom and Philly which was given to her by her Sister Ella.
On the evening of Friday, January 21, 2022 at the age of 59 Phyllis after a long illness she peacefully departed this earth to receive her crown and new wings. She will truly be missed by her loved ones and those who celebrate that she is at peace with her God. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents: Elizabeth-Jones Rollin and Tillmon Rollin. Grandparents: Mary Jones and Wilmer Jones. She is survived by two sisters: Ella Rollin & Sheila Rollin; one brother: Richard (Cherly) Rollin, Sr.; one step sister Helen (Walter) Atkins and one step brother James Rollin all of Rochester New York. Two Nieces: Rosemary (Phil) Johnson and Jasmine (Anthony) Wiggins; One Nephew: Richard Rollin, Jr.; Two great nieces: Gabrielle Johnson and Jessica Buckhalter; one great nephew: Israel Johnson. A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
