On January 20, 2022, the Lord called Hazel Lou Ann Gray to heaven. Born on May 13, 1932 in Escambia County, Alabama. Hazel was the seventh oldest of ten children, born to Sarah Mosely and Lige Gray. Hazel graduated from Southern Normal High School in Brewton, Alabama. She later moved to Rochester, New York where she began her career work at the University of Rochester in food service.

Hazel was a devoted christian. She was a member of The Power House Cathedral Church of God in Christ located at 48 Clifton Street, Rochester, NY, 14608. She never missed Sunday or Tuesday church service, even regardless of the weather conditions. She was also a very dedicated Usher for many years at her church.

Hazel Lou Ann Gray is survived by two sons: Louis L. Gray and Raynard Gray; by six grandchildren and two great
grandchildren; by two of nine siblings: Lige Gray Jr. and Sarah Xavier and preceded by her siblings: David L. Gray,
Andrew Gray, Buford Gray, Jim Gray, Penny (Gray) Cumbee, Iva Lee (Gray) Nearor and Ida Zell (Gray) Stallworth.
