Obituary of Fannie Pearl Daniels

Fannie Hudson Daniels passed away on October 9, 2021 at age 79 after a brief illness.  

Fannie was born in Mississippi and grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from DuSable High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Biology and Mathematics from Upper Iowa University. Fannie received her Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Union College in Schenectady, NY. She was a dedicated educator for over 30 years, retiring from her career as a Math teacher at Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High School in 2001. Fannie enjoyed travelling the world and planting summer flowers. She was also an avid reader and a skilled seamstress. One of her greatest pleasures was preparing and enjoying delicious meals with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.  

Fannie is predeceased by her parents Mamie Sheegog Hudson and Lucius Cleophus Hudson. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William, daughter Twanda Christensen (Ben), grandchildren Benjamin and Jasmine, sister Cora Delois Burnett, brother Roxie Hudson, and many loving nieces and nephews.  

All are welcomed to attend her Celebration of Life/ Memorial Service at 4p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd at Aenon Baptist Church, 175 Genesee Street. Social distancing will be practiced at the service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library, Lollypop Farm, or Foodlink in Fannie’s memory.
