Obituary of Carol Anne Greene

Carol Anne Greene was born on June 19, 1946 in
Rochester, New York to the proud parents of Clifford and
Ruth Burger. Carol grew up on the city’s eastside (Hanover
Projects). She attended school in Rochester and graduated
from Franklin High School in 1964.


Carol married Daniel Greene on June 10, 1966. She
started her career with Kleen Brite in the 60’s where she
gave 30 years of service before the factory closed. Carol
went on to work at the University of Rochester where she
was employed for 12 years before retiring.


Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren. She
enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling. She always put
everyone first - she possessed a pure heart.


Carol is predeceased by her parents Clifford and Ruth
Burger and sister Patricia Burger Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Daniel
Greene; four daughters: Delreata (Michael) Valion,
Carol (Tyress) Washington, Donnella Fontenot,
Danielle Greene; two siblings: Mary Ellen Frye and
Clifford (Sonia) Burger, Jr. all of Rochester, New York,
seven grandchildren: Michael Valion, Jr., Maaseiah Valion,

Daqwaun Greene, Kimberly (James) Jackson, James Eal-
ey, Tymia (Omari) Bowens, Honessti Ramos-Murray all of

Rochester New York; seven great-grandchildren: Damari
Anthony, Kimya Hampton, Courtney Wellington, Semaj
Jackson, Kariszma Ealey, Olivia Bowens and Sarai Bowens
and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
