Obituary of Deborah Tanksley

Deborah Tanksely was born on April 3, 1954 in Rochester, New York to the parents of Moses and Josephine Tanksley.

Deborah attended both Madison and East High School graduating in 1972. After graduation she obtained her Cosmetology License.

Deborah was employed with Kodak for over 20 years. She also worked at Saint Ann’s Nursing Home as a CNA where she cared for others.

Deborah was strong and lived a full life surviving cancer twice.

Deborah continued caring for others and provided child care for several parents. She loved time with her grandchildren, family and especially enjoyed playing cards with her sisters. She also enjoyed going to several stores, couponing, barbecuing and let’s not forget her famous blue kool-aid. She found pleasure in writing while watching her favorite shows. She also preferred to listen to music while playing solitaire on her cell phone.

Deborah was predeceased by her son George Demar Brown, parents Moses and Josephine Tanksley and sister Jacquline Hannah. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Tynisha Brown; grandchildren Durand, Bobby (Jahari), Jazmin-Rae and Jayden; siblings: Velma, Diane, Sandra, Moses, Renee, Mark, Regina and Lavarsette. goddaughter Shanice Germany; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Deborah has returned to our Lord and will live forever in our hearts.
