Obituary of Annie Bell Huff-Hall

Annie Bell Huff-Hall was born on August 19, 1932 in Roanoke, Virginia to Mary Lumpkin-Gamble and Frank Gamble. She attended Lucy Addison High School and graduated in June 1950. Annie moved to Rochester, New York with her husband the late James William Huff.

She was employed at Kodak and Timely Clothing for many years. Later she worked at and retired from Delco Products for nearly 30 years. She emjoyed cooking, baking (known for her famous pound cake) and sewing. Most of all she enjoyed giving and helping others. She was a member of Estella Chapter#7 OESPHA.

At an early age, Annie was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Roanoke, Virginia. After relocating to Rochester, New York she united with Mt Vernon Baptist Church and later reunited with Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she remained until the Lord called her home.

Annie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Annie is preceded in death by her first husband Valence Hall and her second husband James Huff; her parents: Mary Lumpkin-Gamble and Frank Gamble; daughter Cynthia Huff-Ward; grandson Jequan Huff; three sisters: Virginia Belcher-Fleming, Goldie Belcher-Perry and Ruby Belcher and two brothers: Brown Belcher and Leroy Gamble.

Annie is survived by her two sons: James Huff and Jimmie Huff and daughter Valerie (Michael) Nix; special nieces: Valance and Mary Ann Chatman; two stepsons: Horace and Anthony Hall; stepdaughter Dorothy Addison; sister Doris (Ralph) Medina; brother Frank Gamble; 12 grandchildren: Otis (Johnnah) Phillips, Keisha Phillips, April (Marcus) Wilcox, Mary Smith, Clarence (Takysha) Bell, Antoinette (Robbie) Joseph, Jimmie Huff, Jr., Dynasty Bell, Jasmine Huff, Marquis Green, James Huff and Javonte Huff; 35 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; special friends: Elizabeth Dash, Francis Barnes and Virginia McGee along with a host of relatives and friends.
